Great everything HOWEVER

We have had this unit for several months. Recently it developed an issue with picture and sound dropping out. This makes watching TV very frustrating as you miss dialogue. LG sent a technician who replaced a component. This didn't fix the issue. I am trying to get someone to reply to me about what is next to fix this issue. I am quickly getting frustrated and soon will demand they either replace it with a completely new unit or give me a full refund. Up until this issue started it was a great TV. I see online several others have the same issue with now fix yet.

The picture quality on the OLED is amazing and I love the slick design and user interface. However, six months into using it, their is a green line in the center of the panel going from top to bottom. It is still under the 1 year warranty so I submitted a claim through LG online and received a response in a timely manner. It has been three weeks and it still hasnÕt been fixed due to having to order a new panel and scheduling to install it. I gave it 3 stars due to the awesome picture quality but panel issues within 6 months of slight use. I recommend buying the additional insurance if you buy this TV.

I am currently on my second screen which has same problem as the first one. first screen lasted a month, this second screen last a few months. the Horizontal bands which is noticed in light scenes of tv or movies, most noticeable in sky scenes. once you notice you cant un notice it. this drive me nuts. for the cost, you would not think these types of issues would not be and most issues would been worked out by now as OLED has been out for years.

The 6 series has a great picture but the motion was juddery so this 7 they improved very much and also the ups along got way better the the 6 series So the 7 series is a great tv but the 8 is way better in every way

Had potential

This had the potential to be a great panel. There are a few issues with this unit however. First, I had the panel go out (thankfully under warranty). The panel was replaced with little hassle (I give credit to lg for that). However, the replacement panel has this yellow band/tint on the left side that I just started noticing. Went to fill out another service request and as luck would have it, my warranty expired today. I am going to see if lg will do anything about it, or if I am going to be stuck having wasted a lot of money. The other issue I have noticed is that the software used eliminate motion blur causes some pretty significant distortion in fast moving scenes. Specifically around the edges of objects. I have to turn those features completely off to make the image watchable. Its a shame, because having that motion blur gone makes for a pretty amazing picture.
