purchased through another store but feel compelled to warn. bought july 19,2020 delivery in august. one year two months later bearings went out. two months out of one year warranty and no compromise. had service come out through samsung. great service. 130.32 out of pocket for diagnostic, to know bearings are out (sounded like a helicopter taking off) needed new drum and back piece. couldn't find back piece out or no longer making. samsung was able to find.... so here i am 475 or so out of pocket for a repair. i see this is a big problem with this machine. never again!!!

was great while it worked, but suddenly it started to make a loud noice when spinning. broken bearing, more expensive to fix than to get a new one. sad to see a perfectly good looking machine end up in a landfield. would have been ok with there was any sort of warrantly offered on the very expensive repair.

decided to give samsung a second chance and bought a second washer after being in my brand new home just 5 1/2 years and the washer stopped spinning and displayed the 3e code which i've heard was quite common after researching. i reached out to samsung and spoke with overseas support who sounded as if i was the 32nd person that day with this same code and said it would cost $100 just to look at it as it was (conveniently for them) "just outside of the warranty period. the wait list was over 2 weeks long so bought a whirpool washer off facebook marketplace for less than one hundred dollars which, as it turns out, is now our "new" washing machine as (just like our first samsung washer) would cost over five hu

the washer works fine... the issue is the maintanence. the debris filter is impossible to remove. you'll cut up your knuckles and have to use so much force pushing in then turning left that you'll break the housing unit for the debris filter. terrible filter. for that reason alone, avoid his model. you can do internet search for samsung debris filter can't remove or something along those lines... and see how much of a pain it is.

there are barely enough words to describe the level of frustration, disappointment and time wasted on buying this washing machine. after multiple visits from a 3rd party contractor trying to fix the washing machine - after they identified significant internal damage...you would think that they would be able to fix the issues, and have a normal, relatively quite washing machine. clearly i was wrong. i am now out of warranty, and waiting for the day that my machine explodes, and i will buy a new one...not samsung!

almost 6 months after purchase this machine started leaving stains on clothes. discontinued using liquid softener, cleaned the boot after every use, reduced load size, still leaving stains on the whites. never experienced issues like this with any other machine. finally replaced it after only a year with an lg top load. problem solved.

It's my old faithful. Well lol not old yet but I plan on keeping this baby until it doesn't tick anymore. Never used a heavy load but that's my superstition since using top loaders. Already recommended it to a bunch of family members. Easy to use. Could be slicker but I guess that's why the newer ones are seamless. I can wait for an upgrade.

purchased the samsung 5200 washer in 2016 for our condo in florida. spend aprox 5 weeks there per year. wash 5 to 6 loads a season/year for us until retirement. last year the door started to [not unlock], then after that the touch panel would not light up every time. now, not at all. i called samsung to see about a new control panel replacement, which appears to be the issue. samsung said they could schedule a service person, but would be at our expense. we paid 750.00 dollars for the washer, 20 loads of clothes, do the math and i am upset, to say the least! a new circuit board is 180.00, plus a service call and labor fee, for a washer that looks brand new, just delivered. terribly disappointed in this product.

i logged on to the review page and the 1st review is exactly the same issue as mine. a review titled "longevity". well mine lasted 2.5 years before the drum bearing went out. i feel bad for the writer of that review, fortunately we have a home warranty that is paying for the expensive repair. i was so hoping they would just replace it, but i guess i will start saving for a new one in another 2.5 years

the seal holds moisture which makes the drum smell no matter how many times you clean it. it also puts grease marks on your clothes. the extra warranty they sell you does not cover smell and damage to your clothes. i learned my lesson. never again samsung. really junk!!

our experience with samsung as a company is less than reliable. from cell phones to now appliances, we were entirely a samsung fan. the drain pump has failed 15 months into service and we're being told we're on our own. we understand the concept of warranties but we bought a top tier product expecting it to operate longer than 15 months. now samsung is telling us it's our problem. ok, we'll be buying more reliable products (from reliable companies) from now on.

worked great for about 6 months. now it struggles to balance itself with every load. i had a repairman come look at it, and he showed me a clip inside was loose, so he put it back into place. however, after a load or two, it went right back to the problems. i'm not going to tear my washing machine apart every time i do a load of laundry. so, to remedy this, i never get to use "high" spin speed. i'm usually stuck on low or no spin, but i still have to check it and rearrange clothes constantly to get it to finish the load. it can take over 3 hours to do a normal load if i don't do this. hard to get anything else done when i'm constantly have to check on the washing machine. can't run it when leaving the house this way. i love your gadgets, but i am not impressed on your appliances.

on our first washing attempt after setup, the machine violently shook itself across the floor ripping out the drain and powecord. upon making sure that it was level and adding gripping pads to the feet the second run did much the same as the detergent tray and main door flung open.

i have only had my samsung washer for 2 years & it is now broken. it can make it through a wash cycle, but when it tries to run through a rinse or spin cycle, it shuts off about 2 minutes in and then immediately starts back up and restarts the cycle. my husband went through all the troubleshooting options & looked on youtube because he is pretty handy but we can't find a solution. we requested a tech, & they can't get here for 2 weeks. i contacted samsung customer care & they were no help at all. they said it could be a motor issue, & the motor is under warranty, but i will still have to pay for labor, which will cost at least $200. this is not the quality product i expected. i may just get rid of the washer & dryer and buy a new unit from a different company.

frustratingly, we're having water drain onto the floor with every load now. looks like a seal is worn off and now we're concerned about damage as the water isn't getting to our drain.
of course, the warranty ran out a year ago for things like this. is there anything that can be done?

wash is a little over 2 years old. it wasnt used the first year as it was in storage. we have maybe 100 loads through it and keep getting error codes. for $600 and minimal use we should have problems. talked to lowes said sorry over a year old your out of luck. will be replacing with a different brand. samsung let us down on this one.

after about 6 months of use the washer is not working and produces an error in display that doesn't align with any of the published error codes. i've called samsung for support and because the product is not under warranty even though it has only been used for 6 months total (i got brand new with my house i purchased and because the sellar purchased this 2 years ago- its no longer covered under samsung warranty). the cost for the registered samsung technician to come and diagnosis the issue and repair it will cost more than it is for me to buy a new unit. absolutely ridiculous. i would not recommend any samsung appliances to anyone!

ive had this for 5 years only. the childlock button is always on. ive tried resetting the machine several times. it runs fine but now it is burning my clothes so i will need to have a technician come out. i wouldnt recommend this machine.

only over 4 years old and completely "dead". the bearings are out, cost for labor estimated between $500 and $1200, we had to replace the master control board after year 1. seems thousands have this defective issue with loud noise during spin cycle, our drum won't turn now at all. it sounded, when the drum did turn, like an airplane in our house.

I purchased this washer 7/6/16 and already I am having to purchase another washer. It started 4/2/19 when the washer would get stuck in the cycle with 9 minutes left in the cycle and would keep repeating. I found reviews from others that say they too have experienced this. I did purchase an extended warranty so my purchase price was refunded by Lowe's. I had 6 different repair visits and they replaced several parts but the washer still has the original problem.
When I purchased this washer, I expected to not have to purchase another for at least 10 years, not this soon for sure. I have the matching dryer and have had it repaired too. These are not good choices in washers and dryers.

I bought this washer 2 years ago, with my rebate from Samsung for the recalled top loaders that were exploding. They made the spin cycle spin less hard, to prevent the exploding issues. This washer is finicky. If the load is not perfectly balanced (ie one pair of jeans with all tshirts and socks), it will end with a puddle of water in the drum and sopping wet clothes. Then you have to put back in on spin only, and it will spin out the water. This happens every 3rd load or so.
