this fridge has good potential only if the design was right. the side door shelfs are not adjustable height. eliminates the opportunity to store more items by size. the water pitcher leaks. i have received another pitcher under warranty but that started leaking as well in a few days. why still 3 stars. because of the looks, compactness, the ease of storing the pitcher and the rest is all fine but needs a lot of compromises.

in less than 4 years the freezer has quit working for the second time. the first time, if you read your manual, that if you use the 'energy saver' mode the freezer can stop. that was within a year. recently i have been fighting with the ice maker. now we noticed that the freezer is only 20 degrees even though the temperature on panel says 0 degrees.

looks nice, functions well. plastic well in freezer section for additional storage is suspect, doubt it will last more than a year without breaking. advertised as fingerprint resistant, that is not true even by a stretch. not a lot of capacity at all with icemaker. might be able to fill up 2 large glasses at the most.

nice looking fridge but thats about it. for the amount of money this costs it shouldnt have any problems. biggest problem is the ice maker. have to use a hair dryer once a week to melt all the ice if i can even get the ice drawer removed. fingerprint resistant, thats a negative. luckly it still cools and freezes. pull the product and redesign so it works instead of ripping costumers off

after owning this fridge for 4 years i have nothing but head aches and dissappintment!
ice maker has never worked and is always freezing up to a point where we just dont even use it!
the refrigerator went out after just 4 years… call me crazy but that seems awful for a $3000 fridge!
called samsung to report the many issues and was quickly reminded that my warranty period is over and they would send out a samsung certified tech to take a look and fix. mind you its a $200 fee just for them to show up!
now im to a point do i pay the gobbs of money to have it fixed or do i count my losses on this company who has failed me and get a fridge from a different manufacturer.

i was so excited to get this refrigerator! once delivered we fell in love with the pitcher and the drawer. a couple hours after plugging it in the water dispenser had no lights. i could get water but no way to chsnge it to ice. a week later samsung repaired that and changed the faulty didpenser. currently i have been on the phone with samsung and costco because while it says wifi enabled there is no "dongle". very frustrating! so my now not so smart refrigerator cant connect to the app. very annoying to get a brand new refrigerator and no one from samsung or costco and figure out who is responsible for finding this part! if they make this right i think i will love the fridge but this many issues a week after buying is a red flag!

i was looking for a counter depth for a long time. this design is perfect, inside has plenty of space. flex drawer is awsome, i didnt know i needed this but really appreciate it! no handles outside also gives the kitchen a feeling of more space and looks great!!

i've really liked this fridge for the most part, but after install / setup water leakage seemed to be a problem. then the user panel in the middle pull out drawer went out... turns out, the hose that feed water to the door was not connected properly at the factory, and when the water would fill in the pitcher it would leak into the fridge and then shorted out the user panel in the middle drawer. samsung sent someone out to replace this, but multiple trips were needed because the tech was told all parts would be in the box, but they weren't. seems to be working out ok in the end.
fingerprint resistance seems... iffy? i find myself wiping down the door about once a week.

The ice maker started freezing up after about a year and now only lasts about 3-4 days before being blocked up. Horrible design. I cannot remove the ice tray anymore because of the ice blockage.

i am actually thinking of getting rid of my samsung phone and tv, bc i am so disappointed with the horrible service i have gotten trying to get this horrible refrigerator replaced. as we all know by now the ice maker is a disaster. after a year of defrosting it bi-weekly and chipping away at ice dams i decided to try and get the ice maker repaired. they sent a repair service who i also have issues with to repair it but then broke the main control panel. so now i don't have ice or a functional refrigerator. i have called 4 times and spent hours on the phone. samsung keeps telling me that the repair is not complete and nana repair service tells me they are complete and have notified samsung that they do not repair control panels only ice makers.

the look of this appliance is sleek and modern. the ice maker consistently clogs and freezes up. now, we dont get any ice. the manual is not in the least bit helpful. the directions say to press the reset button, almost impossible to find based on the diagram, and listen for a chime. then you will hear another chime if the ice maker is operating properly. question...what if you dont hear another chime. that next step isnt addressed. this appliance isnt even four years old and the clogging of ice is a continuous problem. i see that i am not alone. what are you doing to help?

we are extremetly disappointed with quality and lack of support to get the issues resolved. we have several pieces of the stainless steel that are chipping off and the samsung logo is peeling off as well. we purchased the refrigerator and extended warranty less than a year ago and were told is it not covered.

for such an expensive product, the ice maker is the worst i have ever seen on a fridge. it always freezes to the point no ice comes out. plus, the ice bucket gets frozen shut. after so many resets and cleaning the frozen ice, the bucket finally gave out and when i pulled on it one day, it broke.
now i am not even able to get a hold of a real person at samsung to get assistance finding the replacement part.

if i could give it 0 stars i would. bought this fridge brand new over 2000$. as soon as the warranty expired the ice maker became useless. why is the ice maker located in the fridge?! the design is flawed and this should be embarrassing for samsung in regards to design. you dont put frozen items in the fridge and expect them to stay frozen? why would my ice stay frozen in the fridge? i have had 2 people come out and try and fix it. now it is frozen solid stuck in the fridge. is it normal for a fridge this expensive to just suck only after a few years?!? never will buy a samsung fridge again

most problems have arrived from the ice maker and refillable water pitcher. first, we had the entire left side door replaced due to the ice dispenser door not functioning. that was within the first few months. at the same time, they replaced the leaky refillable water pitcher. (one of the main features we wanted). this second one leaks again, but now we are out of warranty and samsung won't replace it and if i go $100 out of pocket, it will be an endless cycle of purchasing a new one every time because there is a design flaw. look it up on samsung's own support forums. it's really bad.
i don't think i'll ever purchase a samsung fridge again. too many better options out there with better customer service.

we paid over $3000 for this refrigerator. after 1 year and out of warranty the ice maker began freezing up. (which is located within the refrigerator area, not the freezer) we have to chip away frost to get it working or totally defrost it with a hair dryer. this has been weekly for over a year now. we are contemplating buying a free standing ice machine. don't buy it. check the reviews online. many have had this issue. its a bad design.

The appearance of this refrigerator matches it's premium price. Overall, the refrigerator design is nice. Some of the freezer parts are cheap plastic that could break easily. The major issue if with the ice maker. After 2 years, the ice maker doesn't work properly. It freezes up and doesn't produce ice. It becomes one big iceberg and causes the ice bin to freeze shut. I've seen numerous reviews with the same issue. I would hope Samsung would issue a recall to correct this issue since it's a chronic issue. I would give it 5 stars if it had a more dependable ice maker.

moved into this house in sept. had samsung refrigerator. from the start no ice! called repair man. new ice maker was installed @ cost of $150 plus service call. we now have some ice but not enough to last thru the day, need to keep bags of ice so can have ice in the evening. the ice bin has never filled up, only hear ice dropping a few times a day. isn't the ice maker suppose to work all day & night! this one does not!

the icemaker began jamming and freezing within the first month of purchase. this requires a blow dryer to melt the jam. this jamming and freezing occurs monthly.
about 18 months after purchase, the unit stopped maintaining temperature. the technician noted that a brazed joint near the compressor had corrosion and oil seepage, indicating that the refrigerant had begun leaking.
i do not recommend this manufacturer's refrigerator.

we bought a new house and redid the entire kitchen. we selected all matching samsung appliances and they were not cheap ones since we were going for a very modern look.
we have had this refrigerator for about 2 years now and i have been dealing with their flawed ice maker for more than half that time.
the ice maker in this freezes up constantly so you are without ice. i constantly have to pull out the fridge so i can fully get my door open and pull out the ice tray, then scrape off all the built up ice, and use a clothing steamer to get the rest out. we have had to purchase a counter top ice maker.
i figured that samsung would provide some relief or help, but they did nothing but offer to send a tech aty expense.

After 18 months the ice maker started acting up. The head unit would freeze up.
Apparently, it was a known problem with the unit. After calling Samsung support, I was informed that even though the unit was out of warranty, they would repair it at no coast to me. An authorized repairman was here the next day and problem resolved. Im sold on Samsung.

i bought this fridge with high hopes. however, disappointed. the stainless steel gets fingerprints. i can handle that, as it is very roomy and the flex drawer works well. what i can't handle is the poor customer service. the pitcher in the fridge is not dishwasher friendly, and only says it on pg 56 of the manual not on the pitcher. this was placed on the top shelf of the dishwasher, it melted the pitcher and the lid doesn't work. we got two uses out of it. i filed a claim with samsung and they refused to warranty it, stating to read the manual. okay my bad. i just drop $2,600 on a fridge and they refuse to warranty the pitcher as a one-time courtesy or at a discount. it is $100+ for a replacement which seems ridiculous. i want to love this fridge but poor customer service get 1 star

The ice maker works is just super small with no really other options we are dumping the ice in a separate bucket.

I purchased this several years ago when this model was first released and I do not regret it. Love the clean lines...no handles getting in the way and easy to clean. The interior is well thought out and very spacious! For a counter-depth unit, this refrigerator is larger than my mothers standard French door, which is similar to mine (different brand). I've had no problems with it until recently...the ice maker was having issues. Samsung support was amazing and a service tech was at my home within 48hrs. They replaced a part that Samsung had improved at no cost. Works perfectly now. Amazing service and support for their products

We have had this fridge for some time now and there are so many things that I like. The Flex drawer is amazing. Perfect for drinks or snacks for the kids. It gets them really cold really fast. The water pitcher on the inside is nice touch. There is plenty of storage space for everything.
That being said, the ICE MAKER is awful. We had it replaced once during warranty and the new one is not much better. It just starts to freeze over and jam. Then, you have to chisel everything out.
Also, the top freezer drawer is not great either. It always comes off the track and sometimes it seems like it's going to break.
