my wife and i bought the dryer/washer combo to stack in our bathroom. when we got the products we were happy with it so for almost a year everything was fine. that was until one day in 2019 the dryer decided to not stop running after the clothes were finished being dry. unless we unplug the dryer or leave the door open the dryer continues to run. so we contacted customer service which ended up telling us it was going to cost us a good amount of money for the parts and for the tech to come out. well we're not rich and couldnt afford all of that so we worked around the issue. fast forward to today and now we're having issues with the timer and what not. samsung usually has great products but this is just ridiculous. what can i do now????

this was a great washer for the first few years but after 5 years the drum cracked. it seems by looking at other reviews on multiple sites everyone has the same problem but many times it is happening after only a year or two once the warranty has expired. do not purchase this unless you want to be buying a replacement in a few years.

worked fine at first. 3 1/2 years in it's making horrible noises. after viewing the youtube, it could be the idler pulley, could be the belt, or it could be rollers. who knows?? very disappointing.

this washer and dryer should not be marketed as a stackable. the dial on the dryer points upwards, making it difficult to read and set.

idler pulley failed after just 3 years in a single person home. sounds like these fail frequently. $45-65 part. dryer has done a pretty decent job otherwise until now.

after only 2 years the moisture sensors quit working, and now, 3 years old, there is a hole in the dryer drum. not acceptable at all. they refuse to warranty this to fix it.

got laundry soap on lettering and the letter wiped off. samsung said it voided the warranty. will never buy another samsung product. inferior quality. hw does lettering wash off a machine.????

I bought this dryer from Lowes and it only lasted 13 months. I say 13 months because I am one month over the warranty and would have to pay for services to fix it other than the motherboard. As a single mother on 1 income that's neither feasible nor fair. when I called to ask about the warranty the representative told me that it must be a user error. Meaning that I broke my only 1 year old dryer, and whatever I did stopped it from turning on. (The issue itself). It worked fantastic until it's heart stopped which is why I gave it 2 stars. Now I'm stuck between being stubborn and getting new dryers from a different provider or just having it fixed, but with the worry that something else will soon go wrong (as what can happen will happen) and I'll have a money pit dryer.

I have had this dryer 18 months. I spent $800 hard earned money on this dryer that I thought would last for years. In 18 months I have had to replace 2 different sensors, the control panel AND the motor!! Now the dryer turns on and then immediately turns off after 5 seconds. I cannot afford a new dryer. I am using a laundry mat and my friends next door to get me through. This is so unacceptable of a product. It is out of warranty and there is nothing that can be done. Samsung needs to make this right! I will never purchase another Samsung appliance the rest of my life and I am only 35! Do not make the same mistake I did!!

We had to buy a gas dryer for our new house and I think it is pretty good. Couple things I didn't like about (giving 4 stars) the dryer is the lint catcher and the dial. It is hard to open to clean out the lint and dial is somewhat annoying. Other than that it is pretty good. I guess I need to get the higher/newer one.

I brought the dryer June 2016 and July 2018 the motor started to make a grinding noise. I contacted Samsung which was not useful. Warranty valid for only 12 mos. even for the motor which is assumed to last for many years, rather than two. The cost of a service all and repairs is too costly to justify. Model DV42H5000

I just got this after having the same washer and dryer for over 18 years(at least that's how long I lived in my home and it was left for me) I LOVE this product, it's quiet, it does have a lot of sounds it makes when turning it on and the dryer ending(it plays a little tune) it has all the features anyone would need to get the clothes dry the way you want it. So far so good!

I do not like to iron, the steam feature works beautifully in getting out the wrinkles in a shirt that needs to be pressed. I would recommend this dryer to others who hate to iron. Also I like how the dryer sensors detect when the clothes are dried and times it correctly. Energy is saved on electric and the dryer does not run longer than it has too.

My old dryer wasn't working so I purchased a Samsung one by a friend's recommendation. It was great! There are a lot of options and the auto-dry function works great. The capacity is also right for my usual load. Highly recommend.

Product had features I had never thought about but find quite useful, such as the no wrinkle feature, I am always forgetting I have something in the dryer. I also like the moisture sense feature, the dryer does not run any longer than necessary, saves money.

Overall I think Samsung makes great products and although I have only been using this dryer for about a month, I have noticed a couple of things that if I would have known prior to the purchase, I would have chosen a different dryer with the features that this one doesn't have.

I have had this dryer for almost three months. It is very quiet, and drys a big load in 42 minutes. Although I have not tried all the cycles, the few that I have used work well. It is very easy to use and I would recommend this dryer.

Just purchased with matching washer, stacked.
First off, you need longer than 6' electrical cord if stacking.
Electrical code states that appliance must be within 6' of receptacle but does not specify maximum cord length.
Can not easily see controls when stacked if vertically challenged.
Lint screen is a challenge to clean. If you have fat fingers, forget it.
Otherwise very happy with product.
Changed door swing very easily even though one of the machine screws was cross threaded.
I recommend this unit.

New to Samsung home appliances. I've had thier tv's, smart phones for years. Happy so far. Converting to propane from natural gas was easy and quick for someone like me who understands it but doesn't do it everyday. Reversing the door was easy too. Drys loads much faster than our older different brand unit.
After stacking the dryer on the Samsung washer it was about 6' 5" talk. The control panel was a bit high for my wife and kids to operate after stacking them, so we had to get a small utility step for them to use the dryer.
Tough to find the difference between the 5k and 7k stacking kits. The instructions say to use the 5k but Home Depot said to use the 7k. I could only find the 7k in stock at a local Sears and it was easy to install and works great.
I bought the 5 year warranty and feel it was worth the money from past experiences and jope I don'thave to use it.

Gas dryer - Love it! It is very efficient, dries clothes very quickly. Lots of settings options for exactly what I need. It is quiet and has a nice chime signaling when the cycle is done, no loud BUZZER. Very easy to keep lint screen clean.
