Gotta say the tech guy was great and fixed the problem. They should offer me the extended warranty for free since they have extended after I bought mine but they didnt. 2nd Lg washer dryer combo purchased. Last one about 13 years ago was great. This one not so great. Why do I need 452 wash settings ??? Why does my washer and dryer need WIFI??? Just too much stuff I or probably anyone else does not need. Lid cracks and pops when opened after wash cycle. And that STUPID soft close lid. I think I know how to shut a washer lid without that soft close. And dont get me started on the washer repair man you sent to fix thhe cracking lid on my 5 month old $1000.00 washer. I bought the washer for cloth diapers specifically. I was super excited until I realized it was using 100 plus gallons per heavy duty load. A rinse uses 35 gallons alone. Absolutely insane. Beyond frustrating. Do NOT recommend if you care about your water bill. Customer service is even worse.

We are now going on 5 weeks not being able to use our washing machine. Error E01. 1stvrepair place ordered part and then told us we are too far away for them to service it. Waited while LG found another repair company. Now the new one has to order the same part. They stopped extending the warranty the month before we bought one. Not a good experience so far. The dryer works great so far.

Great machine in terms of washing high capacity does a good job of cleaning. Only one issue that bugged us - the machine makes a really high pitch noise during the washing cycle much like a mosquito but higher intensity. It drives our kids mad. LG said it was normal noise.

We bought our machine three years ago and we already have to replace it. It started making a loud noise during the spin cycle during the first year but it was sporadic and when we tried to use our warranty we were put off. We hired a repairman last year and learned that this was a transmission issue that would cost more to fix than our washing machine did. It started making the noise this afternoon and when I went in to inspect the machine had flooded our laundry room. The warranty doesnt cover anything but the motor at this point. We will not be using LG in the future.

I purchased this washer from Costco 1.5 years ago. The washer lid started to crack in the corners where the hinges are. One side of the lid the plastic cracked up so much that its becoming extremely hard to open and close the lid.I tried to have warranty work done since this is a manufacturing defect but its denied because they state that it broken by the customer. Let me remind you that I have a 2 year warranty through costco. Just another reminder to all purchasing items these days. Warranty doesnt cover anyone you buy a product and its on you to fix it or buy a new one. Now Im in the market for a new washing machine. Gues what LG. Im not buying from you ever again. I dont recommend buying this or any LG Appliance. This washer leaves black grease or oil stains on our clothes. Customer service is farmed out overseas and they seem to get incentivized to prevent service calls and warranty repairs. Ive called four times and waited on hold about 25 minutes each time. I had to escalatethe call to a supervisor. Still the washer is not fixed. They finally schedule a repair service but this was after a lot of stress. Its like they thought I was lying to them.

So I purchased my machine from Best Buy I was really excited I never had a fancy washing machine And never spent so much money on any machine in my life. Also I asked the sales people and they assured me that LG was a reliable product. To my disappointment within two years the cycle dial selector is not working. Trying to select a cycle is a headache and it freezes it takes some time for me to actually select a cycle I believe at some point it wont be working at all. I am an adult with the grown son we are the only two people who live here so its not like the machine was being misused. I reached out to LG didnt seem to care they were asking for a receipt which I dont have but I told them when I called customer service they were able to verify that I purchased this machine two years ago unfortunately my warranty for this specific problem is only for one year. My whole premise was if you standby your machine and make claims that its high-quality and reliable it shouldnt be having any issues in the course of two years they really didnt seem to care and I wrote them about me having two years and not being able to find the receipt and Customer Service verifying bought it two years ago based on my model number and serial number and they have not reached out to me since extremely disappointed in them. I have purchased machines for far less and never had this issue. Also when I initially called customer service they said it would cost $400 for me to get it fixed that is wrong on so many levels extremely disappointed in LG I dont think I will ever buy any LG products again in life.

Damaged and not working from the beginning

This was purchased through Lowes when removed from the box it was damaged. The rear panel was torn through the screws however the box was intact so it was clearly damaged before leaving the factory. I decided it was just cosmetic and against the wall anyway so I ignored it. Once it was hooked up and installed however it was dead right out of the box. It does not get any power to it and it has been over 3 weeks and Ive still not gotten someone to come look at at it. I called LG the day of install and they told me that I could not return the unit to Lowes and that they would have to send a service tech. Unfortunately there are no service techs in the area for LG so I have to wait at a third party company and Im still waiting. This is a brand new construction home and it clearly has nothing to do with the wiring as the outlets work fine but that was the only solution that their customer service could potentially provide was to plug something else into the outlet and try that. Im really not impressed

The clamps on the hose on the very bottom of the machine will wiggle loose causing water to come from the bottom of the machine all over the floor I have owned a lot of washing machine and never seen this problem when you turn it over and see the problem the machine looks like it was developed by well educated retards..its only 3 months old...and now it washes my clothes drains my clothes then refills and washes then again endlessly no spin cycle just stuck on stupid endlessly...hands down the worse washing machine I have ever owned while being one of the most expensive close to $800 on sale when I have normally paid $400 max for a washing machine and no problems for 10 years but it was not an lg..this lg is a smart washer meaning it smartly will keep costing you money..I contacted a representative for help resetting my washer machine and lg asked for $5 like some Crack head off of the street in order to speak with a representative online....if you wont to be nickled and aimed one thing after another but the lg but if you just want to wash your clothes drama free way cheaper do not get a lg smart washer

I purchased my washer less than 2 years ago. I previously owned a similar model and really liked it. This one is much noisier and the spin cycle gets stuck much more often. Simple loads of laundry get off balance and therefore doesnt spin properly and the tub fills back up to try and rebalance the load. Sometimes this will go on and on if I dont hear it my laundry room is on the 2nd floor. My main complaint is that we had some g break under the machine. I paid for the extended warranty through Lowes. The phone number for LG in our manual sent us into an automated cycle and I couldnt talk to anyone. We went to Lowes directly who gave us a different number and we were able to get through. We left Lowes with a confirmation text that someone would come out within 2 days. The next day we got an email saying our appointment was the another 2 days out. When we called LG again they said they contract the repair out to a local company. When we called this local company they had nothing scheduled for us. This local company is nearly 2 hours away. They do not send anyone to diagnose the issue. Instead they guess what they might need order the part from LG and then come out. Well they guessed wrong for our issue. There was no backup plan they said they would have to order another part and reschedule. What we thought would be fixed in a day or two has turned into 2 1/2 weeks and its still not fixed thus far. I will be leaving an appropriate review for the repair company on Google and Yelp but clearly LG doesnt follow through on their warranties. The lack of communication and protocol on how service is done on their behalf is appalling.
