Microwave works great but all of a sudden the screen started flickering and even after unplugging the unit from power it continued flickering.

Purchased in late July 2023 manufactured in April 2023 screen started flickering in Oct 2024 and microwave quit working January 2025 just 1.5 years of service. What a waste.

We tried to install ourselves. The new over the range microwave came with no installation instructions and no template. LG sent us the templates but they did not match the microwave. We ended up drilling holes in the top cabinet in the wrong places. It seems as if the templates were back to front or upside down. In the end we used common sense but one of the long holding screws is leaning so our microwave has a slight slant towards the front.The template for the back wall has the vent cut-out in the wrong place and does not match where the exhaust motor is at the back of the microwave. Now the cooking smells blow around the sides and at the top of the microwave back into the kitchen.

The microwave failed 1.5 years after purchase out of warranty. The cost to fix it was quoted at $350 more than the cost of the microwave.

Microwave does not have a Timer function. Ive never seen a microwave without a timer before. It does have a button called Time but apparently that just means Cook Time. Which is the same as the basic function of the microwave. So that button is entirely redundant and useless. Everything else has worked okay so far only been 2 months. Our builders installed this with our new home. If we had a choice we would have gone with something else.

We purchased this microwave 3 years ago. For the past 1.5 years its been inconsistent off/on in being able to heat food. Today it died on us. Spend your money on another microwave.

Do not buy I have purchased 3 of this model in the past 8 years. The first one quit working after approximately two years the second one had the handle fall off after a couple of years. The third and current one we have the LED timer started to malfunction and then the handle broke Why do I keep buying the same one? Because I am afraid the exhaust vent wont line up with a different model or manufacture.

I bought this a few weeks ago and discovered that it did not have Express Cook defined as press a number to start cooking for that amount of time or true Kitchen Timer feature. There are settings for automatically cooking various foods but no auto-start by pressing a number. The manual says that once the microwave is already cooking you can start a kitchen timer function by pressing Time numbers Power 0. I would characterize that as an abomination more than a kitchen timer. My workaround for express cooking is to press the Add 30 seconds button multiple times until the total equals the time I want.
Otherwise were very happy with it: Its got a large turntable compared to other brands cooks evenly and the only sound I can detect is quiet ventilation.

I have had this microwave replaced twice and now it is broken again
The first 2 microwaves the door handle came off on my hand. This third one not only is the handle broken but the display screen doesnt work I called your so called customer service and was told by RIA that she didnt have the power to replace the microwave.

After 18 months the microwave stopped heating and the display flickers. I called LG support and was told that a technician could come out for $349. The microwave cost $249. Junk. So short sighted. Ill think twice before buying any LG brand moving forward.

I bought LG microwave last year it failed on me in August even under warranty LG wont replace it and repair guy been to my house 3 times . I will never get my microwave fixed or replaced because LG does not honor their products or warranty . Rachel from the president office wont even return my text now Ive complained three times they have my records of the calls

Our last LG microwave was great then it died. We purchased this a year ago it works but its not fantastic. Its just a microwave. Potato button doesnt get the job done. And theres no timer for the light which the old one had. No beverage button either. It works but is/was a step down from the old model.

I bought this model to replace another brand that died a bit early. It works fine and has plenty of space no real bells or whistles. I gave it 3 stars because it does not have a timer we use the microwave timer quite a bit for multi-dish dinners and its not the quietest microwave - a bit loud when it runs and when the the vent fan is on.

Piece of junk. One year warranty and then LG doesnt want to hear from you. Or they want to send out a technician to charge a $300 to fix a $250 microwave. Purchased several of these 2 years ago displays are starting to go on them and one went out completely bag magnetron if you purchase junkie cheap LG microwaves then consider getting the extended warranty for as long as you can because it will crap out in two to three years.

Its less than two years old and Im on this site because I need dimensions so I can replace it. The door handle broke twice had to replace the entire door the display completely failed over a few months and now doesnt work at all so we just have been using 30 second increments and now the big piece fell off the top completely broken cannot reattach. What a piece of garbage.

This is my second LMV1764ST first one lasted 6 years and started to make a very loud cracking sound when turned on. I replaced
ced the diode as recommended but that didnt fix the problem. Could not find any bare metal or paint chips that would permit arching. So I bought a new one

Time screen went out twice first time under warranty. There is no solution so not paying to fix it again. LG should stand by their product and provide an actual solution rather than replacing the panel only to have it fail again in 6-12 months.

Microwave has worked well since we purchased and had professionally installed. Unfortunately last year the digital clock screen started flickering and recently it has become unreadable. We have contacted support but they only told us to unplug the microwave and it did not fix the issue. Only need a replacement digital clock screen but they are telling us we need to pay for a technician to dispatch which is more than the total cost of the original microwave. There must be a better solution

Days before the warranty ran out my LG microwave died completely. LG customer service sent representatives from A-Fix to repair it in my home. After two hours they indicated it had to go to the shop for repair and left with my microwave. Several days later they show up saying parts were ordered and they were here to reinstall my microwave.
Where were the parts that were sent to you? I had no parts so they went away. I had no idea parts were ordered or that parts were going to be sent to me Parts were reordered installed. My microwave does not work as it originally did...the turntable is very slow the light inside is barely visible and I dont believe it cooks as fast as it used to. I mentioned this to the repairman he indicated that as long as the microwave was running thats all that could be done. Needless to say I am unhappy. Hence the rating of poor. Customer Service was less than helpful throughout this ordeal and it took over six weeks to get my microwave repaired.

We have had this microwave for about 7 months. The display is flickering and needs to be replaced. I registered this product when new but the customer service people couldnt find it. That was a hassle but now they are going to fix. Was a good price but doesnt have features that are important to us-you cannot stop the turntable which its important when you microwave large things also the light for the stove only has one setting not 2 and also the display cannot be seen from the sides as it is deeper into the product.

The display on my new LG Microwave was not displaying correctly in the idle mode. It still worked however there was no way to display the time that had been shown. I called LG and spoke to a representative who scheduled my appointment within a few days. Brian the technician showed up on time and was dressed professionally along with driving a van that had LG displayed which gave immediate credibility. He repaired it by installing a new display and tested it to ensure everything worked appropriately. Fortunately the microwave was still under warranty. Overall it was a very positive and pleasant experience. All of my appliances are LG and I am very pleased with the oven and refrigerator. Highly recommend

I bought and had this microwave installed May 2 2024. On May 9th while using it a siren type noise sounded and it lost all power. LG dragged its feet for 7 weeks trying to find someone in my area to repair it. They were unsuccessful in finding a repairman instead they wanted to replace it instead of just redunding my money. If you dont have repair people why would I want something else that can break. The cost would be higher to repair it anyway. Just bad business practices I will never buy another LG.
