Fantastic Microwave!

I purchased this microwave early in 2013. It's now mid-2019 and the thing still works as if brand new. My only complaint is that if I am doing a lot of cooking on the stovetop and oven simultaneously, the microwave fan will come on automatically and it won't turn off until it decides it is good and ready. Otherwise I'm really sad we're leaving it when we move! In fact, the only reason I'm here leaving a review is to get the specs for this microwave so I can try to find one just like it in a countertop version.

I purchased this brand new from Home Depot 1 year and 2 months ago and it stopped working. The light goes on, the turn table moves, but it does not heat up food or even water.

We had just remodeled our kitchen in 2013 we purchased Whirlpool stove microwave and dishwasher because we believed in the brand.The microwave worked great when we first got it easy to use and it looks nice but this microwave was cheaply produced front glass fell completely out and front door started breaking up in 2nd year of using it. I did some research online and found alot of people with similar complaints. Looking to buy another 1 most likely will not be Whirlpool.

The microwave generator works intermittently. Sometimes it can run for ten minutes and never heat.

I've had this microwave for a little over two years and today I started getting an error code - F1E4. According to Whirlpool's website, it says it's probably a control board. The replacement control boards that I found on line cost as much as the oven did when I bought it. So basically, throw it away and buy another. Well, I don't think I'll be buying another Whirlpool. Less than a month ago, I replaced our Whirlpool dishwasher that we only got about 4 years out of. It's sad, I live in Ohio near a couple Whirlpool factories and I always used to buy Whirlpool appliances. It seems that their quality has really gone downhill. LG and Samsung here I come.

Door Message Light Off and Wont Start

We purchased this microwave not even 2 years ago. As with majority of complaints, ours is not working either. The interior light will not turn on and when you press any button to operate, we get a "door" message and it makes a beeping noise. The light would periodically flicker and once it stayed on the unit would turn on, now it wont at all. I cannot get over the poor quality of your products. An appliance should work for over a year and a half. When we bought this house and replaced all the appliances with Whirlpool, we expected quality products. And for them to last. I wont be purchasing anything else from Whirlpool.

Bought @ 2 years ago. A couple of months ago it started to give message "door" and would not work. I just though something was against the door. Now it does this ALL THE TIME. Afterbrepeatedly closing door it might finally turn on. The microwave I replaced was a similar model but it lasted 20 YEARS! Very disappointed. Whirlpool has been my " go to" name for many years. Now I guess I'll have to pay a service call and determine whether to fix or buy another. Original price was $300-400. So service will probably cost me $100 for someone to take a look, then another $100+ when he returns to fix. (If I buy another it will NOT be a Whirlpool.)

This product came with the house we bought. It was brand new. Only about 1.5 years and it's not working. Does not heat the food. I'm concerned it's gonna cost more to fix than what was paid for the microwave now that it's out of warranty. If I have to replace, it will not be with the same unit if this is the life expectancy.

Magnetron died after only 16months

I purchased this microwave just a little over a year before it started having problems. It wasn't heating & turns out after a $79.00 inspection charge that the magnetron was dead & that it would cost me $300, which is more than we paid for the microwave. I can't get an extended warranty to cover charges, no one to help troubleshoot over the phone or online. So frustrating, especially since we are moving & have to replace the microwave with a similar looking product. I also have a whirlpool oven that takes extremely long to heat & all the numbers & even edges of the microwave are rubbing off after again only a little over a year. Very cheaply made products in our opinion.

So convenient to have the microwave over the stove which frees up precious counter space. The interior is very roomy. The stovetop light is great and can be dimmed for use as a nightlight.

This microwave works much better than the built in microwave that I bought two years ago. It was suppose to be a top of the line costing well over $2000.00. My new Whirlpool cost me less than 20% of my previous one and works better.

Bought this for a vacation home and it has been meeting and exceeding all expectations since install. Price was very affordable and the installation instructions easy to follow. Very satisfied with the experience but from experience you can always count on a Whirlpool product to deliver!!

Boughtthis a few weeks ago and it works great. I like the vent. The only downside is the mounting holes in the op of the microwave. They re in an odd location and i had to drill more holes in my cabinat to mount it. It would be better if there were multiple holes to mount to.

When installing the microwave I actually called Whirlpool to see if a piece of the vent grill had been hauled away with the packaging by the delivery people and was informed that it is open on the top. It seemed weird to all three of us until I read reviews and learned that it is in fact open on top and small things could fall into the vent when one is reaching for things in the cabinet above. Otherwise its a nice microwave.

This is the second of these I have purchased in the last two and a half years. The first one quit after two years, so was not under warranty. This one is only 5 and a half months and works when it feels like it. I hold my breath and pray it starts. Often the word "door " shows on the display when it will not start; sometimes "STP2." I bought it the second time because it matches my fridge and dishwasher--bad choice, it seems. I am still waiting for the warranty repair.

We did some remodeling in our kitchen and part of it was to free up counterspace. So, with the overhead oven microwave, we accomplished our goal. It's a perfect fit, looks beautiful, and we love the extra counterspace.

great microwave oven. cooks good. very disappointed that I can not go to hardware store (or any store for that matter) and buy a replacement bulb for the bottom light. A lot of stores say they have one that fits but the bulb they provide is too long or too big around.
